So let’s start this off with a joke.
A Phillies fan, a Boston fan, & a Yankees fan are climbing a mountain & arguing about who loves his team more. The Sox fan insists he is the most loyal. ”This is for the Soxs”, he yells, & jumps off the mountain. Not to be outdone, the Philllies fan is next to profess his love for his team. He yells “This is for the Phillies!!!” & pushes the Yankees fan off the mountain.
Okay, so as many of you know i am a die-hard Phillies fan. I love me some Phillies! But the beautiful thing, i believe, about me and my love for the Phillies is that … if they’re not doing so hot (like right now in their first game of the season) I don’t give up hope. I don’t write them off right away. And even if they lose, there’s always next game. And that reminds me of something that is even more beautiful, the love, loyalty and faithfulness of God. Sometimes we don’t have the best days. Sometimes we “play” like crap. Sometimes we are on and we’re amazing. But it doesn’t matter how we’re doing. God is always there next to us routing us on and if we “lose” he’s always saying “It’s okay, there’s always the next game!”
